Is there ANY way to use Brandon Kelly’s Fieldframe in a SAEF to control the Categories array? I really want to get rid of the multi-select box that the SAEF defaults to. We’re using 1.6.9.

Yes. but that deals with custom fields. I’m well aware about Fieldframe and custom fields, but I’m unaware if you can alter the default categories input field. I know you have to do it via a plugin just for the control panel. I’m wondering if something similar has to be written, or if there are examples out there with people doing this. I could be mistaken from that example itself. I’m just not 100% positive.
I will be testing attempts today and if I find a solution, I will post the resulting code from the template for others.
