    Hi!
I was asked, the other day, wether it would be tricky to build a list of DVD’s people in the neigbourhood have on their shelves at home. Just to make it easy to find out whoom to borrow a movie from or to find out if the movie is already lent out.

So I thought that an EE-installation with Playa would do the job and I created two channels: my_list and movies.

I could now let the sitemembers first add a film to the movies-channel and then after that go back to the CP and add a post to my_list. I dont quite like the idea of forcing my members to two actions that really only should be one.

Another aproach would be to have the sitemembers only edit one post in my_list and in the Playa-field pull in as many DVD-titles that aply to their collection.

The nicest solution would ofcourse be to have a oneclick action to relate any titles to your person on the frontside.

I’d be happy to take part of your thoughts on this. Whats the best way to accomplish such a list?

Wouldn’t you have post the add film details using AJAX to add the record to “movies”
Then when successful AJAX response is received use AJAX again to repopulate the DVD titles selection list or “Playa”
This would keep the user on the same form for the process.

That is interesting…  however I need to be pointed in the direction of SAEF-ajax(or Jquery)-integration-tutorials/articles since I have never tried this before. Is it complicated?
