    Hi guys,

One of our clients are using version 1.6.9 - I have VERY LIMITED to almost no EE experience, but do program in PHP, so hopefully with some guidance on the forum I can assist the client.

The main concern is images. They use EE to manage the news and articles on their site. Now not to familiar with EE, I will assume that most of the back end is the same. They will click on Publish, click on the category they want to add news to, and a new entry screen pops up where they can add new articles.

The issue is, they can click on upload file, which does just that, but it does not offer them any form of functionality to edit the image (size, proportions), the client also complains that the default “focus area” usually displayed would be wrong, so if e.g. a group of people, it would cut of their heads (so the angle it uses is wrong?)

I have installed a plugin which appears to be active (imageSizer) but it does not change anything surrounding the method of upload or where the client can do the modifications.

My question is, can someone point me to a resource/plugin/module which works, which will replace the existing method of uploading images with a simple image editor? The client has NO TECHNICAL experience, so the least bit of any technical work is required. Preferrably as much click click and less writing of any code.

Any advise will be helpful. Please remember I also dont have any real EE experience, so please be supportive and try to help with baby steps 😊

    Thanks in advance.

If your clients are confused with uploading images, I’d suggest one of the available third party wysiwyg editors. You can find them over on Devot-ee.com.
