    Hi,

    I was trying to add a bit of html to the Default >> Global >> Pageheader template in the Forum module.  Straightforward copy and paste from another area of the site where it works fine.

    Pasted it, checked the live site and the page was entirely blank.  Removed the code - so the pageheader should be back to its original state and the page is still blank.  What’s worse, I can’t now access any templates in the Default folder as clicking Default just brings up a blank page.

    I can change the Theme to something other than Default and the forum works fine, so it’s just a Theme issue.

    Really don’t want to have to start from scratch if I can avoid it.  Just want the original pageheader back.  Is there any way?

    dhc,

    What version and builds of EE and Forum module are you using?
    Are you using any extensions?

    What html did you add?
    Where did you add it exactly?

    How are you adding the HTML? In a text editor or in the control panel?

    Hi John,

    didn’t give you much to go on did I?  Sorry about that.

    It’s EE 1.6.8 Build 20100121

    The Forum module is 2.7.2, not sure of the build

    The extensions I’m using are:
    jQuery for the CP
    Invisible Captcha
    FieldFrame

    The HTML I added was:

    <ul class="sf-menu">
      <li>
        <a href="/index.php">Home</a>
      </li>
      <li><a href="/index.php/cooperation/about-us">About Us</a></li>
      <li><a href="/index.php/cooperation/news">News & Events</a></li>
      <li><a href="/index.php/cooperation/getting-involved/getting-together">Getting Involved</a></li>
      <li><a href="/index.php/cooperation/training">Training</a></li>
      <li class="current"><a href="/index.php/forums/">Forums</a></li>
      <li><a href="/index.php/cooperation/faqs">FAQs</a></li>
      <li><a href="/index.php/cooperation/resources">Resources</a></li>
      <li><a href="http://www.christianmuslimforum.org/index.php/working-together/general/donate">Donate</a></li>
      <li><a href="/index.php/cooperation/contact-us">Contact</a></li>
    </ul>

    It was added to the top of
    Modules >> Discussion Forum >> Templates >> Default >> Global Templates >> Page Header

    Via the CP

    Interestingly, I just made another small change (adding the invisible Captcha code to:
    Modules >> Discussion Forum >> Templates >> BLUE >> Member Profile Templates >> Registration Form

    And now that Theme only shows blank white pages.  All the forum_themes in the Themes directory are set to 755

    dhc, can I suggest you copy your problem themes to a different folder and restore the ones from EE 1.6.9? You’re a bit behind version wise. That way, you have the originals to refer back to.

    Hey Sue,

    updating seems to have fixed things.  I was having a strange problem where adding seven links was fine, but adding an eighth would break things.  But the update means I can go all the way to nine.

    Thank you.
