    1) I have a site where I have a super admin who cannot change the php preference for one of the sites (it’s a multi site).  He can change it on one site, but not on another.  I thought that a super admin would have the ability to change all sites.  I’ve sifted through the settings and can’t see anything that would change this.  What am I missing?

    2) Is there a way I can default a template to have PHP permissions when it is created (instead of setting it after creation?

What version and build of EE and the MSM are you using? Are you saving templates as files? Can you change other preferences OK? Is your config.php writeable?

Unfortunately I am not aware of a way to change default permissions, meaning you will have to chance them after creation.

I actually found the issue.  Turns out the template preferences text is not translated in the french control panel translation.  That is causing it not to be shown to any user who is having their control panel translated into french.

So were you able to fix it?

What i ended up doing is switching that users default language template to English and the options appeared. I did not update the french admin language pack, but you might want to pass the word along to whoever manages that, that it may have a problem with translating the preference link.
