What version and build are you using? Can you please upload a fresh set of files? Upgrade to the latest build in the process if you haven’t done so yet, please.

First of all thank you so much for answering my post Ingmar so quickly. I just purchased expression engine a few days ago so i have the most recent version and build. While i was waiting for a reply i deleted everything and reinstalled it and i get the same error message. at first when i clicked view rendered template and it showed me this

    Not Found

The requested URL /index.php was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.
Apache Server at aroundthe-corner.com Port 80

so then i copied the script index.php from system and placed it under / thinking it might work but then i get the message

“Some components appear to be missing from your ExpressionEngine installation.”

I am on day four of installation and am still unable to actually start my website so your help will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

Glad to see it was just a corrupted file. Please post again as needed.
