I have a form on the site that requires users to log in to submit content. It’s a variation on SAEF.

One of our users suddenly can’t log in, even though I can log in on the same form using her user name and password.

When she attempts to log in, she gets a popup window that presents her user name and another user name that doesn’t exist in our site list. She clicks on the correct user name, but then gets a response saying the password isn’t in the database.

I have asked her to clear the cache on her browser, and I’ve cleared the cache on our site, but the problem persists. Any suggestions?

It sounds like a possible issue with her browser (perhaps pre-filling the form?). Can you have her try with a different browser, or perhaps from a different computer?

Would the popup window she describes come from ExpressionEngine or her browser? I’ve never seen such a popup window with EE.

It’s hard to tell without a screenshot. Can we rule out a feature of the website?
