    When editing / publishing a new blog entry in the Control Panel, it appears that all users selected for the multi-author list appear, even if those users don’t have privileges to view/edit the specific weblog.

    Is there a workaround to restrict the multi-author list to only display authors that have group privileges for the weblog?

    Hi Ajiny,

    I may be miss-uderstanding your question, but could you try conditionals?  Something like:

    {if group_id == "4"}

    {author}

    {/if}

    I updated the original post. I meant to specify the use case of publishing/editing a blog entry via the Control Panel.

    Thanks for updating, Ajiny, I’m not certain of a solution to that issue.

    Hi - ajlny - this is not possible at this point; you’d need to post a feature request for this.  This feature is behaving as expected, as it allows one to set an author without giving them actual access to that weblog, which can be handy on some projects.
