    Hi EE,

My client is on version 1.6.9 and I have a couple of questions about upgrading to 2.1.

    1. I don’t see a review of the new Communication module on your website.
    2. Does it allow attachments to be added to an email?
    3. Is it WYSIWYG?
    4. Is there someone who can assist with the update?

    Thanks!

    Hi, Paul,

Yes, the communicate module can handle attachments.  WYSIWYG is not included.

If you need help with the update, you may be able to find someone on our [url=http://expressionengine.com/professionals]Pro Network[/url that can do it for you; or post on the our Job Board here on the forums.  If you need support while you are performing the upgrade, that is included with the license purchase.

Please post back if you have any other questions.

    Hi Lisa,

That IS good news about the attachments! But I am 99% sure I saw a formatting toolbar in the new Communication module message area at some point?

Thanks for the link for assistance. I think I may take someone up on that - would be good to be in touch with an EE developer anyway.

I am not sure what you saw, Paul, but there isn’t any WYSIWYG at this time. Here is a screenshot of the Communicate page.  Sorry. :(

    Hi Lisa,

This must have been when 2.0 was in the planning stage. I am *sure* I remember a screenshot of a formatting toolbar on your site but maybe I was wrong.

Now, that would be a great addition as my client has to use a separate HTML editor to create the email, copy the code then paste it in to send.

Seems to me a formatting toolbar would be a relatively easy addition. Maybe there is an add-on somewhere?

    Thanks again.

    Hi, Paul—

I’m not aware of such an add-on.  You could always check Devot-ee for one. =)
