Although I’m good at coding web back ends, I’m not that great when it comes to the front end stuff. At least not yet. Despite this, I agreed to help a friend set up a micro site for a division of his small business. It’s 98% complete. There’s a little jquery stuff I need to finish up, along with some CSS optimization, but overall, it’s ready for prime time.

You can see the site at AzGreenCleaning.com

My buddy really likes the ability to modify content when he wants. He’s not a techie and the simplified editing functions are perfect for him.

Overall, it was easy to set up, although there are a few things I wish MM could do. I know the idea was to keep it simple enough that a control panel isn’t necessary, but the admin bar up top really is a control panel, it’s just a very simplified version. Some things I’d like to see include,

    1. ShowMe really should be in the core.
    2. Conditionals would be really, really great to have.  Really, really great.
    3. Captcha would be really nice
    4. Fix the bug that prevents MM from recognizing a theme other than “default”
    5. Allow us to permanently remove the following from editable regions if we’re editing in plain text mode. I’ll delete it, save, but then it’s right back there. “<!—MojoMotor will replace this content dynamically with the contents of the Page Region—>”  It drives me nuts because it shows up in the “view source” of a web page.
    6. The Stylesheet layout should point to an external *.css file.

Thanks for making a good product.

Hey, the site looks really good.  Nice work!

I just wanted to comment on number 4 of the above.  Mojo will actually recognize themes other than default but it requires that you log out of the site after selecting the new theme.  Once you log back in, the new theme should be presented.

    That works for me!
