    Happy Sunday everyone,

I’m in the middle of an EE 1.6.9 integration with a client’s site. This particular client needs to use the member_id value for each registered user to print out a ‘Rewards’ card which contains their unique member_id. As you know, the first member I registered and tried this with was assigned member_id 2. Is there anyway for me to increase this number to something like 100000 at a minimum so the numbers look more legit? I know I could always do some simple math, but I’d like the solution to be as easy as possible for our client to manage.

    Thanks so much!

Shawn, there is, but it involves direct manipulation of the MySQL database.

Google is your friend. Query for mysql change auto_increment value

    http://bytes.com/topic/mysql/answers/487626-set-auto-increment-start-value-1000-a

NOTE: Make sure you back up your original table before attempting.

    Does that help?

Thanks so much, Sue! I was aware of this but just wanted to make sure there wasn’t an EE specific way of handling it before I altered the database. Thanks for your response! Hope you had a great weekend…
