I am getting an error message when trying to get to this URL ( site name changed )

It used to work without any problems. Not sure what has changed. Error message is:

The URI you submitted has disallowed characters.

I am on ee 1.6.9 on enginehosting. thanks

Hi vacquah, a few questions:

1. Does this occur if you temporarily disable your .htaccess file and add ‘index.php’ back as your site’s index page?
2. If you are using extensions, can you try disabling them temporarily?
