Basically, I don’t receive any activation email when I sign up from the front end to be a member or to sign up for the email list.
In the control panel, I can see that there is a new member “pending” after I complete a member signup.
I am, however, able to successfully send email via the Communicate tab but ONLY when the “Your email” field is set to an email address matching the domain. If its set to my personal email, the mail doesn’t arrive.
I’m using v 2.1.0 Build: 20100810. The site is hosted with Dreamhost, which doesn’t allow mail to be sent from the server by emails that don’t match the url. This is probably a server issue, but I was hoping to maybe get some direction in case anyone else has had this problem.
Is there a way to make sure that the activation emails are being sent from a specific address? Or does anyone have any other ideas?
