    Hi all,

The time stamp for entries for one of my clients is 2 hours behind the Eastern time configured in the Localization Settings. (i.e., publish a new entry and look at the entry date and it’s 2 hours behind the current EST time)

I asked EngineHosting about it and they said it was an EE issue and to post.

Does anyone have an idea about why?

    Thanks,
    Vanessa

Hi, Vanessa. Which build/version of EE1.x are you using? You can find that at the bottom of any control panel page.

What happens if you turn off Honor the Daylight Saving Time setting?

    Hi Vanessa,

If you login as that client and then look in their account settings have they overridden their timezone to be -7 hours behind EST (eg MST)?

    Cheers

    Greg

    Hi Greg,

Can you clarify? Do you mean log in with their user accounts rather than my admin account? And would I still be looking in the Admin menu?

    Thanks,
    V.

    V,

Yes while logged in as yourself goto CP Home ›  Admin ›  Members and Groups ›  View Members

Click on your clients username and goto Member Administration -> Login as Member   Choose Control Panel.

Now while logged in as this member click My Account and under Personal Settings have a look at Localization Settings

    Ah, ha!

Sorry for the delay, but VIOLA! Thanks John Henry. Did the trick! Not sure how they managed to change this to Greenwich Meantime - since I’m pretty sure that they’ve NEVER looked at this part of their control panel.

I’ll fix and they’ll be happy.

    Many, many thanks!
    Best,
    Vanessa
