I’ve some members who have tried to send a forgot password request at the log-in screen and they don’t get an email.
I’ve tested this too and I only get a mail when sending to my gmail addy, not corporate one?
odd?

What version and build of EE are you using? When you try to use the “Communicate” tab to send mail to those addresses, does that work?

Version 1.6.7 (scared to update to 1.6.9!)
I can send from the communicate tab to my gmail but not to my corporate account - using either PHP or sendmail the results are the same.
My client is experiencing similar problems.
Debug say messages are successfully sent.
My Clients site is on the same server as ours, but both email servers are separate and on different servers if that helps?

What’s the reason you’re afraid to upgrade to 1.6.9? Is it due to the email issues?

LOL, everything I touch turns to mush. Kinda like the midas touch in reverse - nothing to do with email - I’m just scared I’ll break it and get another call from the client late at night. If it ain’t broke…
Might have a few hours later this week to do it.
Need to buy another license for a new client so will obviously go to v2 for that with a view to go to v2 with the other clients.

Re: email problem, just looked at SPF records for the domain and all is good there…

This is now resolved.
The problem was that EE was trying to send the mail addresses in the same domain as site both ending companyx.com
They were not leaving the server, but as the mail for the domain is elsewhere they needed to! Si I’ve added MX records for the domain to the server as well as those on t’internet.
The site used to be on a VPS that had a nice control panel with mail ON/OFF which took care of this!
Thanks as always for your help.

lotusman, glad you got this sorted. 1.6.9 is a recommended update so please do so when you have a chance.
