Hi,
do you have an estimation, when the language packs will work again?
Renaming 53 files is not that funny 😉

Hi Ingmar,
thanks, will do. I found a tool, that did the mass renaming. See
http://www.robertbliem.net/joomla/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=114:roberts-file-renamer&catid=34:software-info&Itemid=122
One question remains: I need to have also the system-emails (the memership and mailinglist stuff) translated.
They are still in english. I checked the naming, both files are named email_data.php (english and german version). I have a germanspeaking version availabnle in my language folder. Are there any other changes regarding this file? How can I make sure, tat EEuses the germanspeaking email_data.php?
The rest of the files just work fine. I have in german what I need to be germanspeaking.
Thanks

The German language pack with the new renamed files (2.1.0) is available in the download section since mid of August. (All German language files for EE and addons you’ll find on my site here. )
All files in /language/deutsch have the same names like those in /language/english. That includes email_data.php.
Please let me know if you find something wrong in the German language pack.

Hi John and Werner,
thanks for the tips.
I downloaded the most recent LP from Werner´s site and istalled it.
Here´s what I found:
The dates in my RSS-feed are not translated. It still says Sunday instead of Sonntag…
Regarding the mail templates (thanks for the tip John) I checked and saw it in english. Wasn´t happy, but than it occured to me, that there is that checkbox. I unchecked it and voila, the malinglist activation instruction mail is now in german. Hm, not exactly 100% usability. When I choose german as the language of choice in the general! preferences I assume, that general means 100%, everywhere… 😉 Anyway it´s fixed and this is good.
One point though for you Werner: When a user gets the malinglist activation instructions and clicks on the link in the mail he gets to the EE confirmation page. This system generated page is still in english
Thank You!
Your email address has been confirmed.Other than that all works fine.

Hi awa
Thank You! Your email address has been confirmed.
I made a quick check on a EE2 site with the mailing list. I got
Danke!
Ihre E-Mail-Adresse ist bestätigt. Are you sure the mailinglist_lang.php is in the german language directory and it’s content is the translated one?

Hi Werner,
I took mailinglist_lang.php from the system/expressionengine/language/deutsch directory. This is the live install I´m working with.
I searched for
Danke!
Ihre E-Mail-Adresse ist bestätigt.but didn´t found it. What I have is
'ml_account_confirmed' =>
'Ihre E-Mail-Adresse ist bestätigt.',
The only “Danke” I have in this file is at
'ml_thankyou_for_joining' =>
'Danke für Ihr Interesse an unserer Mailing-Liste!',The mailinglist_lang.php I have is from the 13.7.2010, 13:11 Uhr.
Cheers

Wonderful. That’s how it should be.
The “Danke!” comes from the core_lang.php.
The only “Danke” I have in this file is at
'ml_thankyou_for_joining' => 'Danke für Ihr Interesse an unserer Mailing-Liste!',
The word “Danke” can be found in 4 language files.
More interesting: does your installation now show the german confirmation?

Yes, I made a mistake when checking in the first place. I used FF, but in FF I was logged in as admin (language settings = english).
Now I used IE as a guest als all was fine.
So, thanks, yes all is set and done.
