This may have been answered, but my google-fu is failing me, so it’s probably my incorrect keywords.

I’ve got a few hundred documents I ftp’d to a site to its download directory.

Do I have to manually upload these files through EE to be recognized, or is there a way to have EE index those files and recognize that those exist to be manually selected in the file browser?

Ah ha! Figured it out.

The created weblog file upload preferences pointed to a different directory than where the files existed.

Corrected the server path, voila - they appeared!
