    I am having problems setting up site2 using MSM. I have followed all the instructions on the EE docs, check threads related to this issue and still nothing. I am hosting my sites on Engine Hosting and domain administration throughout GoDaddy. The DNS for both domains are pointing to Engine Hosting, I mean site1 and site2 have the same DNS. Also, I have created a subdirectory on the html_public, copy index.php from there to the sub_directory and changed the following settings accordingly.

    $assign_to_config['site_name'] = 'site2.com short name';
        $assign_to_config['cp_url'] = 'http://www.site1.com/system';
        $assign_to_config['site_url'] = 'http://www.site2.com';

    I don’t know what I am doing wrong, but I can’t get site2 to work.

    Any help will be very much appreciated.

    Edwin, you may just need to contact EngineHosting for assistance. If you create a standalone .php file in your secondary domain, does that work?

    For instance, make a phpinfo.php file with the following code:

    <?php phpinfo(); ?>

    I created the phpinfo file and it can’t be access from the secondary domain.  When I tried http://www.site2.com/phpinfo.php I get a blank page. The only way it works if I access the file with my primary domain. For example, I enter the url: http://www.site1.com/directory_site_2/phpinfo.php and it works.  Also Sue, just FYI the “open_basedir” is set to a local value of “/www/eh12857” and a Master Value = “off” Don’t know if this means something, but I just thought I’d let you know.
