    guys, if I type at description meta tag:

    <meta name="description" content="{exp:weblog:entries weblog="{my_weblog}"
     orderby="date" sort="desc" limit="1" 
    disable="member_data|trackbacks"}{summary}{/exp:weblog:entries}" />

    is it possible to have some nohtml in this? cause sometimes is getting a or
    and it’s confusing google webmaster tool

    is there someone that can help me?

    Can I confirm what you mean here please?
    Do you mean that in your summary field you sometimes have HTML like a link, a paragraph tag or similar?

    Is is sometimes better to create a custom field just for meta description and set it’s formatting to none. This way you can tailor the description further at publish time

    hey john, I think this is a great idea, so this will be the same as the title form with NONE formatting am I right?

    another thing google webmasters is showing to us is that there is a lot of Duplicate meta descriptions or links like the example below:
    Conheça a série Touching Strangers, do norte-americano Richard Renaldi. Nela, o fotógrafo conv
    /index.php/site_zupi/view/posando_com_estranhos/—-
    /index.php/site_zupi/view/posando_com_estranhos/

    I saw the link below, but I’m not sure if this is the problem?

    Hi zupi,

    Yes, it’s up to you what you call the field, the key is that there’s no HTML in it so that the meta tag doesn’t break.

    Regarding your Google Webmaster results, those will probably change once you’ve implemented John Henry’s suggestion.

    ok, but why google are seeing to links?
    and what is this—-

    what can I do to fix it? EE shouldn’t be doing it am I right?

    You could try using a plugin to strip HTML from the {summary} variable:

    This is a different problem from the original one, correct? It’s usually best to keep them to separate threads. If Google finds a link it usually means that that link is on your page somewhere; it doesn’t make up links.

    You’ll need to find the source first to fix it.
