Hi All!

My post is a strange one that I cant remedy alone so any help will be greatly received!

I have a custom field for a <h1> tag this is what my code looks like:

<h1>{heading_1}</h1>

and this is what is being output by EE:

<h1>The Heading Text</h1>

The fields are Text Inputs and the Default Formatting is set to none.

It is adding a tag that I really don’t want! It is strange because I have other custom entry fields which are Text Inputs and this problem isn’t happening.

I am running Build: 20100430 on EE 1.6.9

Go to the custom field with the error and select “none” instead of “xml” or “auto br” from the “Default Text Formatting for This Field” dropdown.

If you create a new text input field for your heading does the problem occur there too? Are you using any extensions?

I have added a new custom field exactly as the original

{heading_1}

{main_heading}

. This seems to work fine and the problem has gone away!
