hello members,

I was trying to test if in tab ‘templates’-> templates preferences, the caching mechanisme would be faster.

I have EE version 168.

But in fact it ruined my output on my website by setting the caching options.
I see all the html just displayed on my browser.

I tried to undo my changes I made (selecting the templates, and turn on caching (dropdown) , hitvbutton update).

Does anyone knows what goes wrong?
And if the caching mechanism can be used for better performance?

I found the answer!

While struggling I saw that EE somehow sets the type of each template as CSS stylesheet.
So therefore I saw all my HTML tags, including EE tags. Changing that solved my problem!
