    Hi,

We are trying to figure out how to get the thread title published to the page title metatag. Like you do here in the EE forum; e.g., a thread here is titled “Does EE support flash?” and if you view the thread (http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/166910/) the page (metatag) title at the browser top starts with “Does EE support flash?”
... developer says: “seems as though {topic_title} couldn’t be pulled out into the theme_global’s header.  I looked at the default EE themes and they only used {forum_name}”

thanks for your help, David Harper @ http://www.bionicturtle.com/forum

    David,

What version of EE and forums are you using?
The default forum themes display as intended for me

In your theme_global.php fle for the html_header function you should have

    <title>{forum_name} | {page_title}</title>

{page_title} is what you want here

    Does that help?

Oh and nice job on theming your forums by the way 😊

    Hi David,

Did you have a look at the variables John Henry mentioned? Are you still having problems?

    Cheers

Hi Greg: Yes, his variables worked (we were using wrong title tag i guess); e.g., http://www.bionicturtle.com/forum/viewthread/4094/
... thank you for your follow-up, that’s great support!
