    Hi there,

I’m using MSM and have created a new main site, which replaces the old “default site”.  However, when I log in, EE automatically directs me to the old default site and then I have to switch to the new one.  Sorta troublesome because people who are unaware are posting new content into the old site and getting confused about why it’s not showing up.

What are my options to solve this issue?

    Thanks!

Nothing?  I feel like this would be such a common thing to need to change if you run MSM…?

    Hi -

The default_site (site_id 1) can not be removed.

You have a few options.  You can use an admin.php file (masked acces) to login directly to that site. Or, if you’re comfortable, you can remove all additional sites, then modify the database to make that site_id now be site_id 1.  This is not supported and should be done by a competent database administrator.
