Hi everyone, I have an existing 1.6.9 installation that is running fine, I have no desire to upgrade to EE2.

I’m about to build an almost duplicate site (copied from the original database then altered) but I want to be able to share blog entries across the sites so, I thought using MSM would be ideal (correct me if I’m wrong!). I’ve had a dig around but have not been able to get solid answers for these questions because the link on the MSM page that says “For EE 1.6x” just goes to the buy page??

So, where can I download/purchase MSM for 1.6x? If I must upgrade then I might not be able to do it. It which case, is there another way to get blog posts from one site to another? With an RSS feed or something?

    Many thanks

    Mikee

You won’t be able to buy at 1.6 prices but at 2.1 prices. When you buy a licence for 2.1, you have the option of running 1.6 - I imagine the MSM would be the same.

Yes, Steven is correct.  You have to purchase the EE 2 compatible version.  For MSM, when you download the EE 2 compatible version, there will be a folder with the EE 1 files in it so that you can use it.

    Does that help clarify?
