hi, I need put password to a folder with Cpanel. Security / Webprotect (you know is simple like create a folder, put a password with webprotect and user need put a single password that I create)

the problem is obvious I can select that folder in cpanel beacuse the folder is created via EE in template group… so how can cpanel webprotect works?

is simple I just need an unique password for that folder.

    any help? thanks

    Bmovie,

Do you mean you want to password protect templates as opposed to a physical folder on your host?

If so then take a look here under HTTP Authentication

mmm see I just need a simple 1 password… not with the ee members system (register, etc..), see the screenshot please, In a normal site (a non ee site) I just go to cpanel, webprotect and put a pass to a folder that I want.

the idea is that works like the screenshot but with a ee template group.

    is possible?

    Bmovie,

It is possible but only using the members username and login. A window will pop-up exactly the same as your screenshot.

You can always just create a dummy member to use for this and give people the dummy members username and password.
It is per template so you will need to restrict access to all the templates in the group.

    That make sense?
