    Hi,

I’m using EE 2.1 trying to create a standalone registration form and I get the following error:

    The following errors were encountered

    error_no_template
    Return to Previous Page

I’m also getting the same thing from the built-in registration form.

Help me Obi-wan, you’re my only hope.

    Hi Kpow,

Do you have an .htaccess file for removing index.php in your installation: If so, please temporarily rename it and test this again on the built-in registration form.

    Cheers

    Greg

    Hi Greg,

I have a vanilla install, the only changes that have been made are the custom templates. I haven’t implemented the a .htaccess file.

    Kpow ,

EE Member templates are different templates from your standard templates

They live under Design -> Themes -> Member Profile Templates

There are no tags to create a registration form in a regular template. To do this you will need an add-on like Solspace’s User module

Update: this was an issue with system messages addon from a wootheme theme addon.

I am receiving this error as well. I copy and pasted the code from here http://ellislab.com/expressionengine/user-guide/modules/email/contact_form.html and I get the same error. I am however receiving the email and on submission it appears to be redirecting to the homepage url, though it’s the error and not the homepage. I made sure the htaccess file was renamed to double check your previous suggestion, but it still gives me the error.

    I get this error too:

    A PHP Error was encountered
    Severity: Notice
    Message: Undefined property: System_Messages_Output::$EE
    Filename: system_messages/ext.system_messages.php

    Line Number: 389
