    Hello there,

I will try to make understandable my problem /sorry for my bad english/

I usually have this issue after some data migration into in my database. I migrated data because i have a 1500 entries to do, so i just insert it by a insert script into my sql database.

What happened after migrated is that a appear, Here is an example of the render code:

    <h2>01) <a href="http://">THIS IS MY TITLE</a></h2>

What was weird is that i have my custom field set into Default Text Formatting for This Field to NONE..

When i edit the entry inside the EE editor it doesnt appear anything like a but after update the entry the just disappear,
it won’t be a problem if i have 5 or 10 entries but there are 1500 entries to edit one by one..

Does the problem sound familiar to you guys?

PD: This is my last project on EE 1.x Yay! Welcome EE 2.1

    Oscar Sanchez,

I migrated data because i have a 1500 entries to do, so i just insert it by a insert script into my sql database.

You may run into issues doing it this way as entries don’t just live in one particular table.

The suggested way to do this would be to create a new template in your old site using weblog:entries tag format your content for Movable Type Export Format

The on the new site use the Movable Type Import Utility

    Does that make sense?

Sorry John to make this a little confuse but, my old site wasn’t made into expression engine, it was custom php, the site is no so similar to a blog. There are posting entries since 2005 so, i found the simple way is to made a similar structure of my old data base and then insert into the new one.

Also, i insert the data into EXP_TITLES, EXP_DATA, and if it have a category EXP_CATEGORY_POSTS and it works but it insert this on some fields. What is weird to me is after edit the entry by the EE cpanel the disappear..

Still Movable Type Import Utility the best way to do this performance?

Oscar, yes, the only officially supported import method is Movable Type.

If you still want to pursue your method I can only suggest enabling error reporting, as a blank screen is normally a hidden error. But I’m afraid we can’t help you with that method beyond that.
