I have built a website for a nursery/pre-school and they want parents to register children’s details so the staff have access to all their important details.

The problem is the client has now asked for facility for parents to register up to 3 children.

Can this be done using the same email address (and username), or can anyone suggest another solution?

I am using Solspace’s User module.

You can set EE1.x to allow you to have multiple accounts with the same password, but usernames must be unique.

Can you tell me how I can do this or can it be done in default settings?

Can’t see anything in member preferences.

Take a look at Admin > System Preferences > Security and Session Preferences > Allow Multiple Accounts Using the Same Email Address.
