I’m getting ready for a redesign. I want to upgrade to 2.1. I’m very busy and haven’t been keeping up with what has been going on as far as the readiness of 2.1.
Is it still in Beta? Can I upgrade safely now? Sorry if my question seem silly but I just haven’t been keeping up from being just too busy with a job and web projects on the side.

EE2.1 is production ready. We’re launching a new EE2 site tomorrow, and have two more in active development right now, as well.
There are bugs here and there, but EE2 is a vast improvement over EE 1.x and the weekly build of EE 2 always fix the most pressing bugs, only one of which was even impacting our sites in development before the patch.
The biggest thing to look for is whether or not third-party add-ons that you need are EE2 ready or not. Most of the biggest add-ons are good to go, but there are still some add-ons that might catch you off guard.

Great to hear, I have two critical add-ons that are well supported. I will have to check to make sure all is well. Thanks for the info.
