Please can someone tell me or guide me in the right direction and let me know whether the drop down edit menu used for expression engine 1.6.9 has been updated for expression engine 2 or if there is an alternative i can use?

This works great in all other browsers, but the jquery :first selector isn’t supported in IE (as stuart says…)
Iv re-imagined the accessory, achieving the same effect with a different approach.
There’s probably a little bit of losing on the roundabouts what is gained on the swings performance-wise, but the positive upshot is gaining IE support.
