I have been day dreaming for sometime now and I came up with the idea of creating a site where given a default string it gives me translations in other languages.

However, it wont be done thru translation but by user contribution which allows for better translation and if case you are looking for something the site would suggest similar or better sentences to you.

this way translations would be much easier for many apps.

what do you think? please give me your comments on this.

let say you search for this string:
    Item X not found

the site will find all possible translations of the sentence:
    french: blah blah X blah
    dutch: qwe qwe qwe X
italian: ds X ds ds dsd s

    the site may also suggest:
Item X could not be found
Your search for X returned no result
no match for X was found
