I will answer my own question today lol. I read through another post with someone having the same issue, so I noticed my server does not support GD2 right now, is that a bad thing?
So I changed it to ImageMagick, still not sure if this will effect my site in anyway.

I spoke to soon, seems when I click for the next page of thumbnails to display more thumbnails it still gives me a hard time, so I went a head and actually checked for GD2 in phpinfo, it was there so I changed it back in the image preference, now things are working good finally. It must of needed that changing from GD2 to ImageMagick back to GD2. Plus I tool off php safe mode

I suspect it may have been safe mode. But glad things are working again. Don’t hesitate to post again as needed.
