I upgrade to the latest EE 2.1. Built 20100810 and I have problems with both IE8 and IE7.

“Filter by category” and “Filter by status” are empty on Edit Channel Entries in both IE7 and IE8.

In addition in IE7 the layout is broken - the main column appears below the right column.

I am testing IE8 on Windows Vista and IE7 on Windows XP. Is anyone else expiring these issues?

    Thanks,
    Gabriela

    Gabriela ,

I can’t replicate what you are experiencing.

What version of EE did you upgrade from?
Did you also upgrade /themes/cp_themes/default from your download?

First I upgraded from 1.6.8 to 2.1 built 20100805, then I upgraded to built 20100810. Both upgrades went fine. I have the same problem with both 2.1 builts. Is it possible that I’m missing something? I use Firefox as main browser - it works fine here.

In IE, when I go to edit entries, initially I can see the Filter by Category/Status but after I select a channel the dropdowns become empty, irrespective of the fact that the channel has/has not assigned a category group.

    Thanks,
    Gabriela

And I forgot to mention that I replaced the /themes/cp_themes/default folder with the very last one (20100810) and I get same behavior.

I’ve been playing with IE8 a little bit more and something strange happens.

    1. I go to Content > Edit - Filter by Category/Status appears fine.
    2. I select a channel - Filter by Category/Status seem to hold the actual info but invisible - see attached screenshot
    3. I blindly select a category - entries seem to be filtered,  Filter by Category/Status still blank
    4. I hit Search button - Filter by Category/Status is finally ok, entries are filtered.

I definitively have the latest CP theme, What else I might be missing?

    Thanks,
    Gabriela

Did more testing… with a brand new installation of EE 2.1 20100810 and have exactly the same issues so it’s not caused by upgrade.

Could someone please suggest what other tests I should do?

    Thanks,
    Gabriela

    Thanks Brandon, I reported.

Where you able to reproduce the broken layout in IE7 as well?

    Thanks,
    Gabriela

    Hi Gabriela,

I was not able to replicate the broken layout in IE7 in my Parallels WinXP Home installation. Thank you for you bug report though and for reference it is here.

    Cheers

Have had a couple of issues with IE and EE 2.0. When listings are deleted, they still show up in the edit list, then disappear, then show up, then finally disappear (while in the same window).

It may be an issue on my end, but a Google maps app that works fine in Firefox, produces an error in IE when I try to save.

    Flo,

Can I ask you to create a new thread please with your issue?
Be sure to add your version and build of EE and any add-ons you are using. Thank you.
