    Hi

I created a new channel, then published some content to it using WYGWAM.  I’m only seeing part of the content I published in the WYGWAM field when I check the live page.  Maybe I need WYGWAM support for this, but there’s another issue.  When I go to edit my channel preferences, I get a list of errors.  (Seen attachment)

    Thanks for any advice,
    Jon

    I found this: http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/161295/

I went to Adminstrative Preferences in the Channel Preferences for the ones causing me a problem.  I was no able to select “None” under Default Category.  The dropdown had no options in it.  So, I went back and edited my group preferences for my Channel.  I had no assigned a category group to it.  I assigned the Default Category Group to it and it fixed it.  I was not aware you had to assign a category group, but it seems to do the trick.

Hi, Jon. Which build/version are you using? You can find this out at the bottom of any control panel page. If you create a field that doesn’t use WYGWAM, what happens?

I’m using build 20100712.  I don’t know if you saw my second post, but they work now, after assigning default category groups to all my channels.  I don’t think it was related to WYGWAM at all.
