My client is trying to upload a Powerpoint file (.pptx) using the native upload mechanism and the upload fails with the message “the filetype you are attempting upload is not allowed”
Can you give me some indication of a fix for this?

Try adding the filetype to your mimes.php which is located in system/lib/

Okay. Any ideas what that might be?
I have; for example,
‘xls’=>‘application/excel’,
for an Excel file
