Hi, I just installed a fresh EE2.1 build. This is a separate install from the 1.6.8/9 install. Everything looks great, except I get the same problem I had in 1.6.9 where the entry form within the admin only displays “Title”, and the “URL Title” fields.  The rest of the form is missing or not displaying at all.

There is no error message, just missing fields.

If this helps, i’m currently running within our school’s DMZ on Windows2003 server running Apache2/MySQL. There is no network traffic allowed to/from the server to the internet.

Any ideas?  I’ve attached a screen shot of what i’m seeing.

    Thanks!

Also, I have the Multi Site Manager 2 installed as well.

    ks808,

    Welcome to the forums. 😊

How many other fields have you created in your Custom Field Group?
Have you associated your custom field group with your channel?

Thanks for the welcome John! Sorry i’m so late with my response, been out of the office for a few days.

There are currently no custom field groups to associate with a channel. I did however observe in the 1.6.8 build that when there was some thing in the body of the post, the rest of the fields would display.  This may be a clue to why the post form doesn’t display all the fields.  Possibly?

    Thanks for the help!

ks808, a brand new install with EE2.1 doesn’t assume anything, you have to create custom fields, channels, etc. Have you made a custom field group yet?

    Aloha Sue!
Thanks for the suggestion! I didn’t set any custom fields within the channels.  I went through the user guide and just followed the examples and the fields started to show.  I did assume that the fields that I used in 1.6.8 would be there in 2.0. Come to think of it…that’s a pretty powerful feature. Thanks again Sue and John!
