My client would like to use the same word for password and login.
ExpressionEngine does not allow him to do that.
Is there any workaround ?

There is no setting for this I’m afraid. It would be in your clients best interest if he was persuaded from taking this approach. Did he have a reason for having them both the same?

Well, this is not worth a core hack I’m afraid, but I’ve tried to persuade him, and bad habits die hard…
