I am happy to announce a new CodeIgniter Resources site: http://ci-developers.com/

I know there are some similar sites like this but every time I submit something it seems to never get approved. So I took matters into my hands and created this site.

Right now I am just getting it going and adding things I found useful so if you are aware of helpers, libraries, tutorials, application or anything that should be added please take 5 minutes to add them.

If you have any advice on the site please let me know. I would really like it to be a useful resource to supplement what is already around.

Probably for the best such sites don’t get approved easily. They tend to get outdated and the Wiki offers everything on your site and more. My only advice if you want traffic is the age old advice “content is king” and to offer something nobody else has which probably means writing your own tutorials or even a series. Seems like you got the skills for that 😉.

Just a note to say we have now changed the name to Codeigniter Resources
    http://codeigniter-resources.com/

and yes we are manually approving everything to ensure it remains high quality.

    Great initiative!

Are there any plans to expand the functionality in the future? Libraries especially will probably become impossible to navigate pretty quickly. Maybe add tagging (preferably moderated)?
Also stuff like rating libraries and possibly reviewing them might make the entries a bit more informative. And related to that might be the problem of libraries dying off after a while, libraries and apps are often built and abandoned after a while - possibly adding updatable fields about latest version/update might be usefull?

A lot of suggestions I know 😉 I have been thinking about creating something like this myself but I don’t have the time. I registered the domain “codeignitershare.com” a while back, if you guys want that too you can have it.

    Hi Jeimer,

Yes a lot of those are on the to-do and will be added in time. 😊 But thanks for the compliments and suggestions.

    Looks nice, good work!

Would it be nice to add a future to sort/filter the resources by the CI version the resource is tested with? I can imagine that someone using CI 2+ isn’t interested in resources that won’t work because they use deprecated functions for example.
