    Hi, just reposted this.

I am trying to use language packs, but failing….

They work fine on my CP.

However, I am confused on the front end of the site. I want the website to be able to use language packs for users who are NOT logged in.  How I work the site now is that there is a homepage choice for English, French, Spanish.  I have only one template set, that uses a global variable to carry a country code, which determines content, data, nav includes, etc., so that each language site has only that language appearing on it.

Is there a way, perhaps, to set the language pack choice for a non-logged in user?  Through a variable, or a piece of code?  Hm…. This will come up in error messages, it comes up in my events/calendar, and I’m sure it will effect other things.  I don’t know how to set language preference w/out the user logging in.  And, ideally, even if user if logged in, I’d like a French user to be able to view the English site, etc.

    Thanks for any suggestions

You can use a default value for your site (or, using the MSM, every site).
