    Hi

I want to be able to upload a large number of images (c. 1000).  Each images has fields associated with it that need data such as Title, Description, Keywords.  There might be 10-15 images of the same type that all take the same metadata.  What is the best method for bulk uploading these and applying the information without constantly re-inputting it??

Each image needs its own URL. So perhaps just keeping the information on the publish form after submitting the first image is a work around but after each submission the URL field is refreshed?

    Anyone have any ideas please??

    Thanks

Since you say the title, description and meta data for each photo should be the same for a grouping of photos, you could create a channel with a field group for the photos, with a field for title (automatically already there), description, keywords, etc. and use a Matrix field (see pixelandtonic.com) for the photo files themselves.  Then one post contains all the meta data for that grouping of photos.  Then you’d have to create a template that takes that info and parses it into separately-accessible URLs for each photo - perhaps using a segment number for each?

That’s just one suggestion though - faced with similar criteria, that’s how i would probably try it out.  There may be a more practical way to do it through EE that still uses a single entry form.

    Hope that helps you!
