    Hi.

    I clicked on “Database Backup” under utilities in my version of Expression Engine. I received an error I don’t understand:

    Database Backup

    #
    # TABLE STRUCTURE FOR: exp_ce_actions
    #

    DROP TABLE IF EXISTS exp_ce_actions;

    MySQL ERROR:

    Error Number: 1146

    Description: Table ‘cee_content.exp_ce_ce_actions’ doesn’t exist

    Query: SHOW CREATE TABLE `cee_content`.exp_ce_ce_actions

    Can anyone help? I’m on version 1.61., build 20071114

    This sounds like a possible corruption with your database. Try to optimize and repair it. That said, your version of EE is very old, more than 2 years and a half. Consider upgrading as a matter of some urgency, please.

    Hi, Jen,

    The database backup utility was removed from EE as it would fail silently in about 1% of installations.  The recommendation here is to make use of something like PHPMyAdmin to perform your backups.

    As Ingmar said, 1.6.1 is many years old and there have been numerous bug fixes and updates; as well as a few important security updates.  You really do need to upgrade to 1.6.9.

    Thank you!
