In preparation for updating a high traffic EE site I run, I set up a MAMP version to do a test run.  After setting up the 1.6.8 version locally with no problems and testing it it out, I followed the update procedure to 1.6.9.  The first stage went smoothly–running update.php worked fine as did the second step of optimizing the tables.  However, after that I was no longer able to access the site or control panel, instead receiving the generic “Error” page template.  I have looked through all of the related threads on this update but can’t find anything that helps.  I really want to get this sorted out before I run the update on the live site.

Jeff, are you running any kind of third party addon’s?

I looked over all the add-on files this morning, and it turns out that some of the extensions had not copied over from my backup. I re-copied them and everything works fine 😊  Feel free to close this thread.
