    Hi

I have to do some front facing pages that require reasonably extensive entry/edit forms. Would this be best approached from a SAEF/Form Helper module or should I write my own module to handle it? Some of the weblogs will have Playa and FFMatrix fields in them. I’ll be using EE2. Using the CP is not possible as this has to be seamlessly integrated into the site.

I’m comfortable enough with php and have written a few modules for EE1.6+ but never for EE2. Ultimately this will also be ajax driven but not worrying about that aspect for now.

I’d appreciate all ideas on how to achieve this.

    Thx!

EE2 does not currently make it easy to use third party fieldtypes in SAEFs like FieldFrame for 1.6.x did.

Here is my feature request on the matter: http://ellislab.com/forums/viewthread/157958/

    Thanks for the reply,

From what I can gather then it might need to have a module written or have a few templates with php to handle the form submit/entry /edit to db.

    Does this sound correct?

Could a Mod comment on this as I really need to get cracking on a solution by the weekend.

    Thx.
