    Hi there,

I’m working on a website at the moment and trying to find out if EE is the right CMS for it. I have experience with all sorts of CMS systems, but i’m looking to broaden my horizons 😊

I’ve attached a file with a screenshot of the ‘projects’ page.

Here’s what I want to achieve:
    - A project is basically a page, but with pics attached to it.
    - There can be 0 to 25 (maybe more) pics for every project
    - Pics are shown in seperate container
    - Via jquery scripting, it’s possible to cycle trough the pics, show title on hover and enlarge the pic (lightbox/thickbox possibly)
    - A project has a title, bodytext and a teaser (if the site owner wants one)
    - There is an index of all projects, which should be sorted manually

News is basically the same thing. Also pages with attached images, with an index ofcourse.

    Furthermore:
    - there’s a large image in the background, the website owner should be able to pick his own image. If he or she doesn’t it’ll pick a default image (depending on where you are in the sitemap.

Can you tell me if all of this is doable in expression engine?

    Thanks in advance!

    Welcome to the forums, FPS!

For this I think that Channel Images, a third-party add-on, may be your best option.

Another option would be to use Matrix for the images.

Have you tried out EE yet?

    Thanks Lisa!

I will certainly take EE for a spin and I will check out the add-ons you suggested.

i have not tried channel images (as it is EE2.0 and we are still waiting on news of that!!!! 😊 )
But this would certainly suit Matrix, and the jquery part would be very easy indeed.
