I am using the “self activation by email ” method for member registration. However, when users register, there is no message telling them to check their email to confirm registration. is this an option I need to turn on somewhere?

    Hi vacquah,

Are you therefore using the User registration form or the default EE one?

    Cheers

Using Solspace User form.  So I assume it is overriding the default ee member messages?  then, I can simply create a page where users can be redirected to from the registration form. however not sure how to just let that page display for a few seconds then redirect again to some other page - just like how the default message would have been displayed.

    vacquah,

This really is material for Solspace’s forums but what you want is a META REFRESH. Googling that will bring up a number of solutions for you.
