    Please forgive my newbiness. I’ll try to make this short. I have created a duplicate of a template (of this page http://www.journeymexico.com/index.php/experiences/whale_sharks) and renamed it. I have also created a new weblog called hotelprofile. When I publish a new hotelprofile weblog, the three buttons on the right side of example page show up (which is good) but the content from the fields in the weblog do not show up. what am i doing wrong?

    how do i make the new weblog talk to the new template? any assistance will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi wcbuckner,

    Have you changed the weblog parameter in the exp:weblog:entries tag?

    I’m sorry, but could you be more specific? Again, I’m new to all things programming.

    Where do you find “exp:weblog:entries tag” and to what should I change it? Should it match the name of the template?

    Could you post a small piece of your templates here? Especially the part with the {exp:weblog:entries weblog='???'} tag in it…

    I changed the weblog:entries weblog= to match the name of the weblog and the test displays the buttons again, but no text from description field

    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <!DOCTYPE html  "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Strict//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-strict.dtd">
    <html >
    <head>
    <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" />
    {exp:weblog:entries weblog="hotelprofilepage"}
    <META NAME="description" CONTENT="{meta_description}"/>
    <META NAME="keywords" CONTENT="{meta_keywords}"/>
    <title>Journey Mexico {title}</title>
    {/exp:weblog:entries}
    <link rel='stylesheet' type='text/css' media='all' href='{stylesheet=site/site_css}' />
    <style type='text/css' media='screen'>@import "{stylesheet=site/site_css}";</style>

    I’m not sure if this is the page you were talking about, but I don’t see anything wrong with it.

    That’s our Hotels Experience Page. From there will be linked individual Hotel Profile Pages. If you go to the search box at the top of our site and search hotel profile, you’ll see the test page that’s not showing correctly.

    Have you also changed the weblog parameter on the exp:weblog:entries tag that is inside the .large-column div in the body of the page?

    Yes, that matches as well.
