I’ve been bugged by this for a while so I thought I’d finally speak my mind about it.
I’d really like to see the ability to use inline code blocks in the forum, as it will definitely improve the readability here. I’ve been usinng the emphasize tags to highlight parts of code in my forum posts, but those hardly register in a long post.
Besides readability, it’s just good practice (accessability) to do so and it’s what the <code> tag was made for.
Devot-ee has it implemented in their Add-on submission form and it works well. (screenshot)
I’d like to hear all your thoughts on this and maybe persuade the nice folk at EllisLab to include this in the forum.
