Forgive me if this was covered recently.  I did a quick forum search and didn’t see anything recent.

What is the current sentiment on using EE 2.x for a production site?  We have one site running with minimal issues.  We are about to build another one and would like to build it on 2.x, but we can’t risk issues on this site. The add-on availability aside (we don’t really need anything that is not avail for 2.x for the new site), what are your thoughts?

We do not recommend using the public beta for a mission critical site.  There are bugs that will impede functionality.  It sounds like, for this site, the stable, vetted 1.6.9 is more appropriate.

I’m not putting clients on it yet - it’s beta software.

    No clients on it yet.
I may consider rebuilding my own business site as i know the implications.
The only project i would consider this on is one that would be a 6-12 month rebuild. (i would hope for a stable by then - but hope is not always fact!)
