When I click on the Page Module link I get the following errors:

    A PHP Error was encountered
    Severity: Notice
    Message: Undefined index: uris
    Filename: pages/mcp.pages.php

    Line Number: 112
    A PHP Error was encountered
    Severity: Warning
Message: Cannot modify header information - headers already sent by (output started at /home/towncoun/public_html/bwsystuff/core/Exceptions.php:166)
    Filename: core/Common.php
    Line Number: 428

If I then click on create a new page it just takes me to the publish page and I have to select a channel to post to - which is not creating a page it’s just posting to a channel

    Hi fensterbaby,

Please have a look at this thread. Does uninstalling and reinstalling the Pages module fix this error?

    Cheers

    Hi fensterbaby,

And I should add that doing this will delete all Pages related data. So, only do this if you are in a position to do so without data loss. If possible please make sure that you have a backup in place.

    Cheers

    From the docs ( http://expressionengine.com/public_beta/docs/modules/pages/manage_page_content.html ):

    Create New Page

Clicking this link will take you to the Publish area of the control panel. If you have specified a default channel in the Pages Module Configuration, that channel will be used, otherwise you will be presented with a choice of which channel to publish to.
Details on publishing entries as “pages” is outlined in the documentation for publishing an entry.

Note: It is not necessary to give content authors access to the Modules section of the site to create and manage pages. Pages are merely channel entries assigned to a specific URL in the Pages tab of the Publish area, so regular permissions to create and edit channel entries is sufficient for a content author to manage page content.

I had the same exact error. I removed the module and reinstalled it again. Seems to be working without the error, but now any new page that is created does not appear.

    “No Pages Currently Exist”

    Nevermind,

I forgot to give it a URI in the Pages tab rather than URL Title

I ran into an error when un-installing the pages module:

Error shows up when editing and adding content to a channel entry.
    A PHP Error was encountered
      Severity: Notice
      Message: Undefined index: pages__pages_template_id
      Filename: content/publish.php
      Line Number: 145

When the module is installed the error disappears even though there are no pages established in the module and no default template assigned.

    Thanks in advance.

Welcome to the ExpressionEngine forums, infodive.

You didn’t mention which version/build of EE you’re working with? I don’t see this particular error messages in other threads..

    Hi there infodive,

Did you have any entries assigned as pages before you attempted to remove the module?

    Cheers,

    Hi Dan,

I did but deleted them before I uninstalled the module. Aside from the errors, I noticed 2 other issues.

    1. The module will not allow me to create a new page. After going through the process of creating a new page it always says “No Pages Currently Exist”
    2. On the entries page I see the Pages tab that contains the “Template” field and the “Pages URL” field. But the same fields also show up under the Publish tab. I attached an image for reference.

    Thanks

I suspect the error you’re getting here is because, after removing the Pages module, your Publish Layout still has some Pages-related fields in the layout. It appears you’ve noticed this in your most recent reply above. When Pages was installed, did you ever customize the Publish Layout to include the Pages URI and Template fields on the main Publish tab? If you remove those from the layout, do you still experience issues?
