I have a simple form using the Email Module.

Submitting the form results in a blank index.php page. I’ve enabled full debugging but I don’t see any errors.

The utility email_test.php files functions as expected. I’m able to send email from the control panel.

I’ve just spent a good chunk of my day trying to make sense of this and now it’s time to reach out to you all.

Please advise. Of course, I’ll be more than happy to provide as much info as needed.

    Many Thanks,
    vik

    vik,

What version and build of EE are you using?

    Are you using any extensions?

Can we see the form code you are using?

Hi John. Thanks for the reply and my apologies for not providing more details. I did a bit more digging and have some more info.

    EE 1.6.9 Build 20100415
    PHP 5.2.11, MySQL 5.0.90
    No 3rd Party extensions used.

This registers in the server error logs when I submit a form:
PHP Fatal error:  Class ‘Action’ not found in /home/system/core/core.system.php on line 631,

I’ve confirmed that core.system.php exists & also uploaded a fresh copy of the same file.

I’d be glad to show you the code but to simplify troubleshooting, I used the sample code from the EE Docs. Of course, I’ll be glad to provide the complete page code or a link to the page itself.

    vikeny,

Quick question. Have you installed the email module? Is not installed by default.

I have a simple form using the Email Module.

Are you using the example contact form that is in the EEDocs:// Contact Form

Hi Sue. Thanks for the assistance.

To answer your question: Yes. I’m using the form from EEDocs:// Contact Form.

Initially, I had another form but for troubleshooting I thought it might be helpful to use the code example from the EE docs.

I spent some more time trying to get to make sense of this problem but I haven’t made any progress. Your help is much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    vik

So when you submit this sample template, what do you get? A white page? A message of some kind?

Yes, submitting a form returns a white page at the site.com/index.php. Enabling debugging options makes no difference. Concurrently the server error logs will register the following line [I’ve modified the path somewhat for obscurity].

PHP Fatal error:  Class ‘Action’ not found in /home/system/core/core.system.php on line 631.

It might help to know that the site is installed on a sub domain.

    Many thanks.

    vikeny,

Can you perform a build update to 20100430? That will ensure you get a fresh set of files up there, as it looks like some may be missing.

    Hi Brandon,

Yes, I was planning on a build update but wanted to consult with EE Tech support first. I will update this thread once the build update is complete.
